Overview
The built environment is increasingly embracing the use of digital technology to integrate work processes and connect stakeholders working on the same project. Integrated Digital Delivery (IDD) is adopted throughout the building life-cycle from design, fabrication, construction, to operation and maintenance of buildings. To support this key transformation of the Built Environment, there is a need for a workforce with the necessary skills to integrate digital technologies into building life-cycle processes.
To address this need, the SkillsFuture Career Transition Programmes (SCTP) in Digital Delivery (Built Environment) will provide you with the knowledge and skills to support digital integration, digital design, and digital asset delivery and management for building projects.
Objectives
Upon completion of the programme, you will be able to:
- develop digital drawings in Building Information Modelling (BIM) which form the backbone of digital twins,
- gather information in work processes using data analytics skill to improve productivity,
- apply knowledge in coding and computational tool to improve design and work processes, and
- assist in digital solutions implementation.
This will adequately equip you to pursue a career as an Assistant Specialist/Specialist (Digital Delivery) or BIM Specialist.
