Module 1: Digital Design (Course code: 79031 – M1)
Duration: 40 hours over 1.5 months
- BIM for Architectural
This course introduces Building Information Modelling (BIM) concepts and terminologies. Learners will also learn how to create BIM Architectural models with components such as floors, walls, ceiling, doors and windows.
- Building Science & Digital Design
The course facilitates students to apply and integrate their knowledge and skills in building technology on a built environment design project. Learners have to develop design strategies, document their design process in a journal and prepare documentation of drawings for the purpose of design presentation.
Module 2: Basic Programming for Digital Design (Course code: 79031 – M2)
Duration: 50 hours over 1.5months
- Information and Communication Technology
This course covers fundamentals of digital and information technologies from binary to logic gates to macro topics such as information systems, internet and networking. It allows learners to have good understanding of information technology (IT) and IT processes, hardware and software.
- Programming 1
Learners will learn to write computer code using processing/ Java to automate the design.
Module 3: Fundamental Digital Delivery (Course code: 79031 – M3)
Duration: 45 hours over 1.5 months
- Data analytics and visualisation
This course equips learners with the skills to collect, organise, present, visualise and analyse data. It empowers learners to apply analytics skills to draw insights from data.
- IoT for Smart Building
This course enables learners to use generative design software and workflow to create and optimise building designs.
Module 4: Advanced Digital Delivery (Course code: 79031 – M4)
Duration: 60 hours over 2.5 months
- Computational BIM
This course enables learners to use generative design software and workflow to create and optimise building designs.
*Module 5: Workplace Learning (Course code: 79031 – M5)
Duration: 3 months
Learners will be placed in a Built Environment firm to enhance the knowledge learned in the other modules and gain practical skills in workplace setting. Learners will gain industry experience, and build professional networks to help advance their careers
