Overview
This course enables learners to harness the power of generative design software and advanced computational workflows to create and optimise innovative building designs. Participants will explore cutting-edge digital tools and methodologies that automate design processes, enhance creativity, and improve building performance through algorithmic design approaches. The curriculum combines theoretical foundations with practical application, allowing learners to master computational design techniques that push the boundaries of traditional architectural practice. Upon completion, participants will possess the expertise to implement generative design workflows in contemporary building projects.
At the end, participants are placed within established Built Environment firms to apply theoretical knowledge gained from previous modules in authentic workplace settings. This immersive experience enables learners to develop essential practical skills, gain valuable industry exposure, and establish professional networks crucial for career advancement. The module serves as a capstone experience, integrating learning from Modules 1-4 into meaningful workplace applications. Eligibility requires successful completion of all preceding modules, ensuring participants possess the foundational knowledge necessary for effective workplace integration and learning.
Objectives
Upon completion of the module, you will be able to:
- create optimised building designs using generative design software and computational workflows to solve complex architectural challenges and enhance building performance.
- apply theoretical knowledge and technical concepts from Modules 1-4 to solve real-world problems and complete practical tasks within a Built Environment workplace setting
This will adequately equip you to pursue a career as an Assistant Specialist/Specialist (Digital Delivery) or BIM Specialist.
