Overview
The construction industry’s shift towards prefabrication and modular construction has accelerated under the revised BCA Buildability Framework and Manufacturer Accreditation Scheme (MAS). With Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing (MEP) systems accounting for approximately 40% of total construction project value, strong modular MEP capability is increasingly central to achieving higher buildability outcomes, improved cost efficiency, and enhanced building performance.
Developed in partnership with the Specialists Trade Alliance of Singapore (STAS), this comprehensive programme is designed to strengthen industry capability in modular MEP delivery across the project lifecycle.
Objectives
- Gain knowledge of the modular MEP project lifecycle from concept design and feasibility through to fabrication
- Develop insight into the regulatory framework governing modular MEP systems and acquire skills to effectively navigate procurement processes
- Apply fabrication techniques, quality control processes, and manufacturing methodologies for modular MEP systems
- Acquire knowledge of Integrated Digital Delivery (IDD) and its integration with modular MEP design and prefabrication
