Overview
Prefabricated Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing (Prefab MEP) systems is one of the game-changing technologies under the Advanced Manufacturing and Assembly (AMA). Use of prefabricated MEP systems can achieve time savings of up to 60% with enhanced safety. However, the modules of prefab MEP systems can be quite bulky and heavy and installation activities involve working at height, and hence installation of MEP systems requires strict adherence to safety protocols and procedures, as well as enhanced installation methods. Personnel involved in the installation works must be equipped with relevant skills and knowledge to ensure safe installation practices.

Under the Prefabricated Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) Manufacturer Accreditation Scheme (MAS), this course will be recognized within the 'Firm and Human Capital – Staff Competency' Evaluation Criteria for the accredited firms' workforce.
Objectives
In this one-day course jointly organised by BCA Academy and Specialists Trade Alliance of Singapore (STAS), participants will learn about the different types of prefabricated MEP systems and the technical knowledge required to select and install support systems such as anchors and pull-out tests. Participants will also learn about advanced monitoring techniques that can be used to ensure safe installation practices as well as the importance of communication and coordination among stakeholders during the installation process, including project planning, scheduling, and risk management. The course will cover a range of safety protocols and procedures, including fall protection, proper use of personal protective equipment, and safe work practices when working at height. Participants will also learn about the importance of communication and coordination among stakeholders during the installation process, including project planning, scheduling, and risk management.
By the end of the course, participants will be familiar with regulatory requirements and industry standards and better equipped to perform their work safely and efficiently.
This course is jointly organized by BCA Academy and Specialists Trade Alliance of Singapore (STAS).
