OVERVIEW
The PSSCOC standard contract forms are widely used for conventionally procured and design-build projects in the public sector. For proper and efficient administration of contracts for public sector construction projects, it is essential to be familiar with the PSSCOC contractual provisions and have a firm grasp of what they entail. Understanding the administrative procedures under the PSSCOC will ensure timelines are adhered to and potential disputes managed and even avoided.
OBJECTIVES
The course will provide participants with an overview of key essentials in project delivery and common procurement approaches using the PSSCOC, and enable participants to:

MR TAN JOO SENG, Founding Director, Tyto LLC, LLB (Hons) NUS, FSIArb, Senior Accredited Adjudicator with SMC, Panel Arbitrator with SIAC JS Tan has thirty years of experience in construction law, contract advisory work, standard forms of contract, project management issues, claims, dispute resolution and all aspects of contract administration in construction projects. Apart from being a counsel for clients, he also sits as an arbitrator and adjudicator to determine disputes in construction contracts. JS Tan has been a speaker at numerous seminars on construction law topics and is also a contributor in two construction law texts – “Law and Practice of Construction Contracts in Singapore (5th Ed)” and “The Singapore Developers Design and Build Contract, Commentary on the REDAS Design and Build Conditions of Contract (3rd Ed)”.
