Overview
This 3 months Specialist Diploma programme consists of 2 modular certificates, namely:
• Modular Certificate A (79036A): Certificate in Sustainable Building Design Strategies
• Modular Certificate B (79036B): Certificate in Carbon Management for the Built Environment
You will have the flexibility to take the modular certificates in any order and at your own pace*. The certificates can be stacked up towards the Specialist Diploma.
*Maximum of 3 years to accumulate the certificates for an academic qualification
10 SIFMA CPD will be awarded after completion of the Specialist Diploma.
Objectives
• Modular Certificate A: Certificate in Sustainable Building Design Strategies
– This module equips participants with in-depth understanding of the strategies to design, manage and evaluate the performance of super-low energy and zero energy buildings. The module will also examine various alternative and centralized cooling technologies, as well as the use of smart technologies to reduce and optimize building energy usage.

• Modular Certificate B: Certificate in Carbon Management for the Built Environment
– This module addresses the holistic carbon management approach within the built environment sector. It covers the lifecycle of carbon emissions and explores carbon mitigation and reduction strategies towards achieving carbon neutrality. The module also delves into life cycle assessment (LCA) techniques and their application in computing and managing carbon emissions.
