BCM Students’ Participation at the AQSA International Congress 2023
The ASEAN Quantity Surveyors Association (AQSA) International Congress 2023, a prominent academic and industrial networking event, jointly organised by AQSA and the School of Built Environment (University of Technology Sarawak), took place in Sibu, Sarawak (East Malaysia), from May 15 to 18, 2023.
BCA Academy proudly congratulates the students from our collaborative degree program with the University of Newcastle, Australia (UON) - Bachelor of Construction Management (Building) (Honours), known as BCM. These talented students were invited by Singapore Institute of Surveyors and Valuers (SISV), one of the key collaborators of the congress, to represent Singapore and showcase their dedication and expertise in the Built Environment (BE) field.
Our BCM students teamed up with students from the National University of Singapore (NUS) to participate in the "Envisioning Sustainability and Digitalization in the ASEAN Construction Industry" poster design competition. Guided by Senior Lecturer (ACE) Dr Lee Rou Xuan, one of the BCM-NUS teams emerged in 2nd place in the university student category, an outstanding achievement.
The students' feedback about their experience at the AQSA International Congress 2023 has been overwhelmingly positive. They expressed gratitude for the opportunity to engage with industry professionals, gain valuable insights, and broaden their knowledge about the BE sector. The congress provided them with a renewed sense of motivation to contribute to the growth and development of the BE sector after their graduation.
BCA Academy takes pride in fostering collaboration and supporting the educational endeavours of future professionals in the BE sector.
