OVERVIEW
What makes a building green? Is it possible to generate complex shapes with some strokes of the key (think Jewel or Sports Hub)? How do we make buildings “friendly” for everyone? If you think you know the answer, think again. We’ll take your understanding and challenge you further.
The Diploma in Digital and Sustainable Architecture (DSA) will equip you with the knowledge, skills and experience to design sustainable buildings. You will learn how to create complex building shapes and forms, optimised to meet performance requirements while ensuring they meet regulatory requirements. In addition, you will also gain a comprehensive understanding of how digital technology can be used in the design process.

There are opportunities for you to undergo work placement with leading firms in the Built Environment sector to help you enhance your employability.
Build a strong foundation in core disciplinary areas as well as gain a broad understanding on related areas so that you can take a holistic approach to solve complex problems through our Integrated and Interdisciplinary approach.
3. RECOGNISED PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS
Digital and Sustainability-focused curriculum – allows you to develop emerging and in-demand skills.
Qualifications are well-recognised – your diploma is recognised for the registration of Resident Technical Officers (RTO)*. You will also obtain Certificate for Green Mark Accredited Professional (GMAP)^
* for Diploma in Construction Engineering (Digital)
^ for Diploma in Digital and Sustainable Architecture and Diploma in Digital and Smart Facilities Management, upon meeting minimum requirement
PROGRAMME OBJECTIVES
1. TECHNICAL COMPETENCY
Demonstrate technical competency to adopt digitalization in the core discipline of architectural design/construction engineering/ smart facilities.
2. KNOWLEDGE INTEGRATION
Integrate interdisciplinary and cross-disciplinary knowledge and collaborate effectively with stakeholders to achieve quality outcomes.
3. LIFELONG LEARNING
Actively pursue lifelong learning and continuous development to be equipped for a changing world.
PROGRAMME STRUCTURE
As part of the IWSD programme, you will spend half of the three years with leading Built Environment firms as part of your learning experience.
18 months
You will undergo classroom-based learning and online learning to build a strong core foundation.
6 months
You will undergo internship with key firms in the Built Environment sector.
12 months
You will undergo workplace learning with key firms in the Built Environment sector, developing deep technical skill through real world application.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
GCE 'O' level graduates
- 4 GCE O levels
- English Language (EL1) - Grade 1 to 7
- Mathematics - Grade 1 to 6
- Two relevant subject - Grade 1 to 6
ITE graduates from relevant courses
- Nitec with GPA ≥ 3
- Higher Nitec ≥ 1.5
Existing working professionals looking for upgrade or career switch
Those with at least 3 years working experience and WPLN level 6 and above.
