Mr Yap Guan Hwa was with Building Plan Department BCA, for the past 30 years. He has spoken at seminars and workshops on building control matters till he retired last year. Mr Yap’s principal responsibilities were administering the building control legislation, building codes, guidelines and setting up the process of plan approval. He was an examiner of the Board of Architects and has been a lecturer for candidates sitting for their Professional Practice Examination.
