Technical Requirements for Amusement Rides

OVERVIEW
Amusement ride inspections play a critical role in developing, maintaining, and conducting regular safety checks on the amusement rides to ensure the rides are safe for public rides.

OBJECTIVES
The course aims to provide an understanding of the general technical aspects of amusement rides including standards requirements, fundamental engineering concepts, operational risk assessment. This course also provides guidance on how to prepare and review a comprehensive Amusement Rides Safety Management System. 

At the end of the course, participants will be able to:
• Outline the different Rides Standards and Non-destructive Testing Standards
• Explain statics and dynamics loads
• Select the appropriate fastening devices and welding criteria
• Develop thorough and comprehensive design and operational risk assessments
• Comprehend and execute the Amusement Rides Safety Management System
• Comprehend the relationship between structural safety, deformation, and stress distribution under various loads

Time: 9.00am to 12.30pm
Venue: Marina Bay Sands (No transport would be provided. Participants are required to make their own way to Marina Bay Sands. Dedicated location would be informed in due course) 

Course Assesment
Date: Opens on 12 June 2024, 5.30pm and closes on 14 June 2024, 5.30pm
Delivery Mode: Online Assessment (multiple attempts) via BCAA Learning Management System (LMS)

Fee (inclusive of 9% GST): S$650

ASSESSMENT & AWARD
An e-Certificate of Successful Completion (e-CSC) will be issued to participants who meet the class attendance and passed the online assessment.
