BCAA Open House 2010

BCA Academy Open House was a jubilant and lively affair with great performances, games, tours and activities that attracted throngs of secondary school and ITE students during the two-day event. They were treated to a variety of activities that allowed them to peek at the academy life and find out more information about the programmes and courses which interested them.

Our Academy’s Open House was held in conjunction with the Career Fair on 15 and 16 January. There was an overwhelming response from students who turned up for the Open House. Booths were set-up at the cafeteria for visitors to find out more about various diploma programmes and gather information on programme fees, career options, and scholarship. Visitors also had the chance to interact with our friendly lecturers and staff who were at the booths to share their experiences and answer any  questions from the visitors.

Talks, exhibitions, campus-guided tours of the BCA Gallery, Sensory Garden and Zero Energy Building (ZEB) were also organised. The tours were fun and educational, with special hands-on activities and quizzes for the visitors to participate in as they moved from one station to another.

Visitors were also treated to an entertainment, the Inter-class Talentime Contest, which was organised to showcase our students’ talents. Each class nominated a representative (solo or group participation) to compete for the Championship Trophy. (click here for more details)

The day ended with a street soccer competition as the climax of the Open House programme. Students formed their own teams and they also had a chance to play against the staff team. Andy Toh, a student from Bedok ITE, who attended the Open House, summed up its success with these words “I can’t wait to be part of BCA Academy.”
