| In line with BCA’s effort to lead and transform the construction industry, a Centre for Construction IT (CCIT) has been set up at the BCA Academy in year 2010 to offer outreach programs to advance the adoption of new Infocomm Technology (ICT) solutions, in particular the Building Information Model (BIM) technology, in the construction industry. |

| The Centre aims to serve the following purposes: |

- Education and Outreach – to expose our industry to new ICT trends and success stories so as to create awareness among the industry players.
- Research and Development – to collaborate with ICT technology providers to set up test-beds for evaluation purpose, and to coordinate the development of industry-wide guidelines and standards for the technology.
- Consultancy and Advocacy – to provide support on the adoption of new ICT to help pioneering companies to kick start the adoption of such technology, and to build up industry-wide technology adoption roadmap for the rest of companies.
