The Construction Industry Development Board (CIDB) of Malaysia and BCA Academy officially started their first collaboration on 3 August 2009. The Academy will conduct a 12-day customised programme for 20 trainee instructors from the Akademi Binaan Malaysia, the training arm of CIDB Malaysia.
The programme will include classroom lectures, case studies, discussions, practical sessions and site visits to equip the participants with skills and knowledge to become effective trainers. To perform the role of first-line supervisors, the participants will acquire relevant knowledge and skills in leading, planning and motivating workers; and planning techniques and procedures. Participants will also receive coaching on preparing and conducting training and assessment. On completion of the programme, these trainers will be deployed in Akademi’s branches in Johor, Terengganu, Kuala Lumpur, Sabah and Sarawak.
