Academic Awards

Diploma Programme For Diploma Programmes, students are required to pass all courses and obtain a Cumulative Grade Point Average (GPA) of at least 1.00 in order to qualify for the award of the diploma. Students who complete the diploma programme will be awarded the following qualifications: - a) Diploma in Construction Engineering Programme Diploma in Construction Engineering; Building Construction Safety Supervisor Certificate; ISO 9000 Internal Quality Audit Certificate; and Certificate in Formwork Safety for Supervisors. b) Diploma in Design (Interior & Landscape) Programme Diploma in Design (Interior & Landscape); and ISO 9000 Internal Quality Audit Certificate. c) Diploma in Mechanical Engineering (Green Building Technology) Programme Diploma in Mechanical Engineering (Green Building Technology); and Certificate of Successful Completion of Certification Course for Green Mark Manager. d) Diploma in Strategic Facilities Management Programme Diploma in Strategic Facilities Management e) Diploma in Electrical Engineering and Clean Energy Programme Diploma in Electrical Engineering and Clean Energy f) Diploma in Building Information Engineering Programme Diploma in Building Information Engineering Top 10% of the students with Year GPA and Cumulative GPA of at least 3.50 will be placed in the distinction list. In addition, they must not fail any course in the main examination or assessment. Top 10% of the graduating students with an average score of at least 75 marks for the entire Diploma programme are eligible for consideration for special awards. These awards may be Gold Award, Silver Award, Bronze Award, or Merit Certificate depending on the level of their academic achievements. Specialist Diploma Programme For Specialist Diploma courses, students are required to obtain minimum 75% attendance and complete all assignments to acceptable standards in order to be eligible to take the examination. Students who pass the examination and complete all projects will be awarded the following qualifications:- a) Specialist Diploma in Building Cost Management Programme Specialist Diploma in Building Cost Management b) Specialist Diploma in Construction Management Programme Specialist Diploma in Construction Management c) Specialist Diploma in Construction Quality, Environmental, Occupational Health & Safety Management Programme Specialist Diploma in Construction Quality, Environmental, Occupational Health & Safety Management; and ISO 9000 Internal Quality Audit Certificate d) Specialist Diploma in Facility & Energy Management Programme Specialist Diploma in Facility & Energy Management e) Specialist Diploma in M&E Co-ordination Programme Specialist Diploma in M&E Co-ordination Top 10% of the graduating students with an overall average score of at least 75 marks for the entire Specialist Diploma programme are eligible for consideration for special awards. These awards may be Gold Award, Silver Award, Bronze Award or Merit Certificate, depending on the level of their academic achievements.
