BCA Academy organised an induction programme for all new international students on 1 Dec and 2 Dec 2009. The objectives of the programme are to help our international students cope with home sickness while encouraging them to adjust to student life in Singapore. During the induction, they would get to know their lecturers and make some new friends very quickly. To these students, this event could be considered a milestone in their lives – it was their first experience of student life in BCA Academy.
Led by a team of 6 lecturers, the induction programme kicked off with some fun-filled games to allow the students to know one another better. The rocket-making contest was the highlight of the event as many of the students got the hands-on experience to launch their self-made rockets at the Zero Energy Building.

Respective programme chairs introduced the new students to the different diploma courses and gave some advice on study methods. A counsellor also gave a talk on stress management to our students. The students were later treated to a sumptuous buffet lunch at the cafeteria.
The students visited our newly-built Zero Energy Building and the library. They also went for an exciting ride at the Singapore Flyer. The freshmen were duly rewarded for their efforts with footages of candid and precious moments captured throughout the two days. Everybody emerged a winner with new-found friends and camaraderie which would last them for years to come in BCA Academy.
